Poster Contest

Secondary students in Florida schools are invited to create reading posters that will be exhibited at the Secondary Reading Council (SRC) State Conference held in Panama City, April 2008. Entries will be judged by conference attendees and fabulous prizes will be awarded as well.

Program 6: Speed Reading Skills & Comprehension Training for Entering 9th - 11th Graders

• produce active readers with strong comprehension and a lifelong love of reading.
• teach the best way to study textbooks, take notes, prepare for tests, and build vocabulary.
• help students prepare for the SAT and ACT.
• help students develop a greater interest in reading outside of school.
