Newport Elementary is a terrific example of a school on the rise. It encourages all students to actively and positively take responsibility for their own education!
I am very pleased to be part of the NES Team , and we ARE a team working across grade levels to ensure high time on task and diversifying instruction to meet the needs of students.
My personal information is that I hold Reading Specialist k-12 certification and a M.Ed in Reading Curriculum and Instruction. Currently I work with fourth graders and love the energy and enthusiasm of these students. I am also Chairperson for the Young Author competition sponsored by the North Carolina Reading Council and V.pres of the Crystal Coast Reading Council.Obviously, reading and writing are a passion, one I hope to share with everyone not just students.
