I am a fun-loving National Board Certified teacher with 15 years experience. I have taught kindergarten, first, and third grades in South Carolina, Forest Hill Elementary, Church Creek Elementary, and now William S. James. National Board Certification was earned 3 years ago and signifies that I have demonstrated clear and convincing evidence of mastery teaching. I am very proud of it!
I absolutely love teaching because I love to see the amazing growth that children demonstrate during the school year and beyond. Children have such a passion for life - laughter, love of learning, and kindness. I believe that all children are unique, with special interests and needs. We build on these unique qualities as we work together, like a family. I push them very hard to do their best every day.
My wife and two daughters are the best parts of my life. I've been married for 18 years and have two daughters, Jenna and Jordan. Jenna is in 4th grade here at WJES and Jordan is at Patterson Mill Middle in 7th grade.
Believe it or not but I used to be a Marine! It seems like a long time ago...
I am currently training for the Erie Marathon on Sept. 12 and the Marine Corp Marathon which is October 31. Wish me luck! I would like to send a special thank you to all the military families out there. I understand what you are going through. You and your family are greatly appreciated!
